The frog that wanted an owner
There was once a frog that wanted an owner. Now that is very unusual as no animal would like an owner, but the frog wanted a nice owner. An elf wanted a pet. She wanted something she could talk to but no animal can talk. She knew a mouse who knew the very frog who wanted an owner, so the mouse went to the elf’s house and told her in his squeaky voice that he would go and tell the frog that wanted an owner that the elf, whose name was Nicola, was unhappy. She said that she wanted something cuddly and cute, not ugly like a frog. The mouse couldn’t do anything so he scuttled away leaving Nicola crying in her house. By the way, the frog’s name was Rahul. The elf decided to make a magic spell and make a kitten with whom she could play and cuddle up with at night. The kitten would never grow up. She would name the kitten Jemima. So she started out with making the kitten. She got all the things required. She needed robin eggs, buttercups, paper, water and ice. First she had to boil the water and while the water was boiling she had to slowly keep the robin eggs one by one inside the boiling water then dance around it singing magic words. Then she had to drop in the buttercups (all together) and dance around it again. Then she had to tear the paper and throw it inside the almost boiled water. It would be a paste. Nicola now had to shape the paste as a kitten and bake it with ice. But how could anybody bake something with ice? But Nicola had a magic way of doing it. A gnome in the mountains had told it to her. She then baked the kitten and she had a lovely frisky kitten to play with. Rahul the frog was very sad because he could not find an owner for him so he got a very good idea. He would go and stay with his aunt in her house. She would take good care of him.

Physical Theatre
Today we had to do the hoola hoop while sitting on a big blue ball. Some children were bouncing the ball on their faces so Chris told them to sit in a corner. We also do cartwheels and somersaults in physical theatre. We do hand-stands, walking on stilts and all kinds of exciting things. I love physical theatre.

What I do on thursdays
I play soccer. Then I go to school by the school bus. I have a bath and we all have snack in the dining room. After snack we go out and play.
We have physical theatre on thursdays. We had to act like vegetable vendors today. Tanay, a boy from the 10th std walked all over shouting "bhaji wala". I also did the same. Then we practiced poems. All of us recited a poem "Pied Piper of Hamelin". We are also practicing for a play. I am acting like an angel in the play. I will be tied from my waist by a rope and will be moved all over the stage like a real angel.

Crafts, and carpentry
Today, I am spending the day at my best-friend Riza's house in Saligao. I wrote two blog entries at her house. I made a card and drew a picture. I like paper-folding. I like doing carpentry,
I made wood pieces and we're going to make a puzzle of wood. I find carpentry very easy. The carpentry teacher (Chris), at my school, shows us how to saw the wood.
I made two wood-pieces, one a square and one a triangle. The teaches gives us wood. We use a pulling-saw. It is sharp, but not very sharp.
My new school
My school is in Vasco, in Goa. Last year, I was in a school in Saligao. That school is called Lourdes Convent. My new school is called ITTC. It is in Bogmalo. It's a build like old school. But inside it doesn't look the same. It has two buildings.
In my class, there are seven boys and three girls (including me). The girls names are Aditi and Shivani. And the boys names are Nash, Sherwil, Karan, Jonathan ... can't remember all of them now.
I like my teacher very much. Her name is Karen. We don't her 'Teacher', but we call her 'Karen'. Her full first name is Karen Anne, but we call her Karen for short. We have a Konkani teacher (Anita), a Marathi teacher (Meena, we call her Meenatai). The Indian music teacher's name is Pradeep. And the Western music teacher's name is Saby. The teacher who teaches the flute is named Vijay. I am learning the flute now. I like the flute lots, and I take my turn twice.
In my school, there is a dog named Sam. He is a very funny dog. He does very funny exercises too, in the assembly hall.

My best subject is reading....
My name is Isabel Ann Vaz. I am six years old. My school is Lourdes Convent. My best friend is Riza. I am using a blog for the first time in my life. Today I going to write about reading and stories. I love reading. I read lots of books from the library. I like to read Enid Blyton books.
I started reading in 2004. My mother used to make boards and she used to write small words on them. Then, after that, I learnt bigger words. Then, finally I learnt to read fatter books.
I enjoy reading because there are lots of adventures in books. I like to read adventure stories like Famous Five and The Wishing Chair.
When I go to Reading Hour (at the Saligao Institute) Aunty Giselle tells us stories. I like the stories she tells us. One of the stories was about a giant. There was a boy and a man in that village. The boy had a flute and the man had a wand. If someone was sitting on a chair, the man would use his wand and make the chair disappear. Then, the person would fall on the floor.
Aunty Giselle to us this story in 2004, and then again in 2005 she told it again. All the children loved the story. My friend Abigail likes reading too. When I grow big I want to be an artist.
